Housekeeping is hit or miss
Sometimes the housekeeping staff at An Grianán Hotel is thorough and sometimes it really missed the mark. Mouldy grout, carpets that need a good cleaning and dust in places long-neglected are the worst offenders. If you find that your room is sub-par in the cleanliness department, you may want to request a different one.
negative:
The can be a long wait in the bar
The hotel bar can get really busy, especially on weekends and during peak travel season. It's frustrating to have to wait to be seated served, but once the food arrives, you'll find that it was worth the wait.
negative:
The Wi-Fi is spotty
The Internet connection in the guest rooms is spotty and inconsistent, which could be problematic if you are travelling on business or trying to get an email out in a hurry. If this is the case, you may want to re-locate to the public spaces where the Wi-Fi connection is spot on.
