Negative Reviews
negative:
Older Rooms Have Seen Better Days
While the Uplands Hotel has three newly-added rooms in their annex, guests have mentioned that some of the older rooms could do with a bit of an upgrade. You may find that some of the décor appears a bit outdated, but the owners have mentioned their intentions to renovate the older rooms in the near future.
negative:
Mattresses are on the Firmer Side
While mattress comfort is largely dependent on individual preference, a few guests have mentioned that the hotel's mattresses seem a bit uncomfortable due to their firmness. Again, this could be a matter of preference, but it's something to keep in mind if you prefer softer mattresses.
negative:
Difficult for Disabled Guests
Because the rooms at the Uplands Hotel are not located on the ground floor, they may be difficult for guests with mobility issues to access.
