Positive Reviews
positive:
Spic and span rooms.
Rooms are very clean and inviting. Maybe a bit dated now -*but they're not alone in that. Some guests mutter about lights not working too. Prices, though, are good and the overall atmosphere is one of friendliness. It's one of those places you'd be happy to come back to. If you are just passing through, the restaurant is a great stopping off point; with an appetising menu … and equally appealing prices!
positive:
Friendly staff.
Members of staff are always cheerful and pleasant. They are another factor in the appeal of this hotel.
positive:
A Brisbane bonus.
The location couldn't be better. The city centre is easily accessible - just a few miles away - but you are relieved of paying the city centre's outrageous hotel tariffs and wining and dining here is a fraction of the cost. What's not to like?!
Negative Reviews
negative:
The good, the bad … and the downright loud
Drink and food prices are very competitive and are an attraction for guests staying here. Sadly, service is slow; quite bad really. Surprising really, because if they served quicker, they'd take more money! Another drawback is the so-called ‘music'. The volume is constantly turned up to capacity and quite deafening. It spoils any meal and does nothing to encourage reasonable conversation - just shouting matches!
negative:
A trickle of disappointment.
The shower can go off completely at busy times. Probably a water pressure problem - but an inconvenient one for guests.
negative:
Telly addicts' dismay
The lack of Foxtel on the TV is a disappointment - but not a deal breaker.
