The hotel is positioned outside of the city centre but there is a regular bus service which departs from close by. You can walk to town in about half an hour as well. Getting to the train station takes about the same amount of time. It'll take you about ten minutes to get to Princes Street.
The guestrooms are well-stocked and comfy. There is plenty of tea and coffee, as well as biscuits and toffees to enjoy. The Wi-Fi works very well in rooms as well, which isn't always the case in hotels.
Sherwood Guest House does have a free car park, but there are only limited spaces. If the hotel is busy or if you arrive late, you might have to find an alternative place to leave your vehicle.
The property is positioned next to a busy road. While the double glazed windows do a good job of blocking out most of the sounds of the traffic, if you like to sleep with the window open then you'll definitely be affected by the noise.
