The cosy 2-star Hotel Rye 115 hotel is found in Copenhagen’s Østerbro neighbourhood, just a block away from the green spaces of Fælledparken and the Søerne lakes, five minutes’ walk from Parken Stadium and Østerbrogade shopping. Guests will find themselves just over twenty minutes away from Copenhagen Central Station and Tivoli via Østerport Station on foot. All 16 rooms share bathrooms and toilets, and come with free Wi-Fi, satellite TV, bathrobes and slippers, while hairdryers and ironing equipment can be requested. Guests can use luggage storage and safety deposit facilities, and smoking is not permitted in rooms. Organic breakfasts are included in the price of staying, including homemade buns and fresh coffee, while a wide range of cafes and restaurants can be reached in a short walk. Hotel Rye 115 is about 20 minutes’ walk away from the Little Mermaid statue and the Citadel.
This hotel is said to have a fantastic, familiar atmosphere, with a comfortable lounge to relax in and nice music in the common areas; while the staff is said to be very welcoming; going out of their way to help in whatever way possible, which guests said made them feel very much at home. Coffee and tea is reportedly available around the clock, in addition to a tasty continental buffet breakfast with organic options.
Those who stayed at Rye said they came across clean rooms with comfortable beds and pleasant, offbeat decor — describing them as simple but cosy. Although the bathrooms and toilets for these are shared, guests found them to be very well kept.
Guests said they were located in a relaxed part of Copenhagen, close to a pleasant array of parks, lakes, shopping and restaurants. Furthermore, those who stayed said it was close to public transit options, and just a short bus ride or pleasant walk away from downtown attractions and the statue of the little mermaid.
Rye guests occasionally complained that the Wi-Fi signal in their room was not very strong, and furthermore, that the hotel was located a little too far away from the centre of town for some, who wanted to be staying right in the middle of action. However, most guests did not find issue with either of these points.
The soundproofing between rooms and the corridors was something mentioned by a few guests as needing work, since they experienced some noise from other guests during their stay.
