The staff here also come highly commended. They seem to be attentive and cheery and go above and beyond in terms of customer assistance. Also, many liked the transfer shuttle service offered by this property.
While not located right in the central waterfront area of Kota Kinabalu, this hotel does have its own attractions. The price is a case in point and many felt that this property represented an absolute bargain for the area.
Many found the location of this property - which appears to be situated in the heart of an industrial estate - to be downright odd. Also, this hotel advertises river-front views, but guests were disappointed to find themselves in rooms boasting a panorama only of the local canal.
Perhaps due to its canal-side location, strong, foul smells were prevalent throughout this property, but were especially noticeable in the rooms and hallways of the building. These odours were exacerbated by this property's AC, which appears to shut off when guests leave their units, leaving no fresh air in circulation.
Last but certainly not least, the poor Wi-Fi service rounds out this property's list of contentious points. Many felt truly let down by this amenity, which appeared to be weak and intermittent. For those already hot and bothered by foul odours, the lack of connectivity here was just another irritating bugbear.
