Situated just a couple of minutes walk from the quieter end of Patong Beach, Lars-Lita Residence offers sleek and modern accommodation with some lovely artistic accents. Like the rest of the property, the rooms feature the clean modern lines popular with minimalist designers. They feature cooling tile floors and all the amenities you’ll need for a great tropical holiday, including everything from cable TV to minibars. There’s a small lobby lounge were guests can relax and maybe meet other travellers. Either reception or security staff are on hand around the clock and can assist with basic concierge and business services. The onsite resto-bar serves drinks and a reasonable selection of both Western and Asian fare. While Patong Beach can be reached in just 10 minutes by foot, the busier section of the beach and town, near the famous Walking Street, is a bit further - approximately a mile from Lars-Lita Residence.
Although the residence is not right on the beach, this did not really seem to bother any guests. They mentioned that the beach was quite close, maybe a 10 minute walk away, and that there was also a good range of cafes, bars and other amenities within walking distance.
Guests explained that the residence was run by the owners, rather then an anonymous management company. This seems to have made quite a big difference, with guests describing the owners as very pleasant and more than willing to help their guests out in any reasonable way they could.
The majority of guests were very happy with housekeeping, saying they kept the rooms and public areas in tip top shape throughout their stay.
Guests in street facing rooms complained that they did not seem to be soundproofed at all. The street was said to be exceptionally busy, even late at night, leading to a lot of noise pollution in their room and of course some difficulty getting to sleep.
A simply extraordinary number of guests reported that their bed was very uncomfortable. It wasn't that the mattress was too hard or too soft, the typical complaints, but rather that the mattresses were very old, resulting in guests being able to feel the springs.
Quite a number of guests were a bit unhappy with the number of stairs in the residence. Though it is not a high rise, guests explained that due to the design of the building stairs seemed to be here there and everywhere. There is no lift, and it seems no ramps either, so those with mobility issues should take note.
