About
Hotel
Suites La Siesta has an enviable vantage point in old Puerto
Vallarta, with stunning views over the ocean.
The 22 suites offer independence and comfort – with living space and kitchen facilities available. Some include a balcony with ocean views, though all have a ceiling fan, chair and sofa-bed.
Hotel Suites La Siesta's heated pool also benefits from the exceptional views, whilst guests can also book massages in their rooms.
The best place to take advantage of the view of the Bahia des Banderas, however, is from the hotel's restaurant – El Panorama. On the top two levels of the hotel, guests can soak up the ambiance of soft piano music and the aroma of Mexican and international cuisine - including their speciality : fresh shrimps.
The hotel is just four blocks from the Malecon boardwalk with its shops and restaurants and a short walk to the beaches.
Positive Reviews
positive:
Amazing views
The over-riding memory guests take away from their stay is the hotel's incredible views. If you're fortunate to have a room with a private balcony, you can sit back and admire the fishing boats or cruise liners coming and going to the port. If not, guests will tell you that the views from the terrace and the restaurant over the old town and beaches are second to none.
positive:
Old town location
Set in the quaint old town, you are only a few blocks from the action. Guests appreciate being able to stroll along to the restaurants and shops or having the bars and nightlife close by.
positive:
Lovely pool
OK, the pool is not enormous, but guests seem to like it all the same. It is refreshing after a day out exploring the town, is well-maintained and clean.
Negative Reviews
negative:
(Lots of) steps away from action
The hotel's vantage point and proximity to Puerto Vallarta's entertainment comes with a price: you have to scale lots of steep steps to get to it. This is fine if you want to get some exercise or are fit and healthy, however, guests will warn you that if you have mobility issues access may not be practical at all.
negative:
Elevator issues
Once you have climbed all the steps to get to the hotel, you may find that you have even more to tackle to get to your room. The dated elevator seems to either be completely out of action or at best unreliable. Many guests have to - or choose to - use the stairs.
negative:
Noisy surroundings
Despite its name, taking an afternoon nap may be less than simple at Hotel Suites La Siesta. Guests often find the surroundings to be quite noisy, making it difficult to relax.
