The hotel is in the Corner District and is directly across from the University of Virginia hospital. Guests can see the Cavalier men's basketball team at John Paul Jones Arena, which is only a short walk. The Charlottesville Convention Center is just two miles from the hotel. Additionally, Thomas Jefferson's Monticello is five miles away, and Jefferson Vineyards and James Monroe's Ashlawn are also five to six miles away.

Some guests find this location to be a bit overpriced given the relatively simple concept and the fact that it's a Charlottesville-based hotel as opposed to, say, a D.C.-based one. However, there are some guests that don't find the cost completely unreasonable considering it's on-campus.
