The food at the two restaurants in Gold Dust West is excellent, particularly from Ole Ole, which is the hotel's flagship Mexican restaurant. The meals are all freshly prepared and feature the significant flavors of the region, making it a worthwhile and tasty stop for your visit.

The rooms and common areas of Gold Dust West are maintained by an attentive staff, which is always sure to keep the linens changed, plumbing in working order, and air-conditioning at full power. You'll never run into issues such as stained rugs or cracked windows here.

For some guests, the pillows were a tad too hard. This is highly subjective, but may be a point of constructive feedback for Gold Dust West as it moves forward with bedding choices. The wonderful mattresses and blankets make up for this drawback, however.

The smoke from the casino often reaches guest rooms and causes both headaches and odors, making it one of the least attractive features of the entire property. If you're near the casino side of the building, be prepared to keep your windows shut throughout your stay.
