About Quality Inn
Formerly known as the Rose Garden and then, Best Western Brownsville; the Quality Inn is two star rated and a 15 minute drive from South Padre Island international Airport.
Rooms at the Quality Inn feature refrigerator, microwave, free WiFi, flat screen TV with cable channels, coffee maker, hairdryer and telephone.
Communal facilities include an outdoor pool, free parking, business center, vending machines and laundry. Free WiFi extends into the public areas. Multilingual staff are available to assist with tickets for attractions and visitor related enquiries. The front desk is manned at all times.
A complimentary breakfast is available and the hotel is close to a number of restaurants, including Mariscos de la Rosa (Mexican seafood) two blocks away.
Gladys Porter Zoo is six miles away, as are the Stillman House Museum, University of Texas and Valley Baptist Medical Center. Wal-Mart Super Center is a near neighbor.

Clean rooms are a delight.
Super clean rooms are really impressive, as are the comfortable beds. Rooms are also surprisingly spacious ... no 'cupboard living' here! If they were ever here, all cockroaches and bugs are long gone; can't tolerate the high levels of hygiene!

Good restaurants nearby.
It doesn't matter that the hotel doesn't have a restaurant; there are so many appealing options nearby. Chopstix, Subway and Church's Chicken are all in the immediate vicinity.

Welcoming staff and lots of freebies.
The staff are polite and friendly and the hotel is pet friendly. Given that rooms have undergone a revamp and everything is clean with lots of facilities and freebies, why stay anywhere else?! Another real 'plus' is that the place is generally quiet.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Disappointing breakfast.
As items are taken bhy guests, they aren't replaced. This results in a limited choice for later diners and next to nothing available if you arrive at the last minute.

Poor housekeeping.
There are too few towels, toilet rolls, cups etc; supplied for the number of people in the room. Bed linen appears not to have been changed since the previous guest's departure! Outside upkeep is no better with rubbish and cans littering the pool area.

Maintenance issues.
Air con is either hot or cold, with nothing in between. Showers don't like dispensing hot water. Cistern problems with the toilet result in the constant sound of running water. TVs need re-tuning to access more English speaking channels. Some appliances haven't been repaired after breakage by previous guests and there is no evidence, in the rooms, of a smoke alarm.
