Guesthouse Comfort Inn (Port Huron, USA)

Guests were rather pleased with the location of this hotel. Not only is it right on Lake Huron, but it is also a short drive from many other attractions including OLG Casino, Fort Gratiot Lighthouse, also Port Huron Museum. There's also plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, so it was easy to find things to do.

Many previous guests noted that the pool and hot tub were particularly nice. It is indoors and heated to a comfortable temperature, a good size for the size of the hotel, and it is kept very clean. Several seasoned travelers noted that it was much nicer than the pools at other places they have stayed.

Several reviews made a point of noting how expensive a lakeside vacation at Lake Huron can be, especially when traveling with a large family. With the low rates at Quality Inn & Suites Port Huron, they were better able to afford their trip, or were able to spend the money they saved on shopping, eating out, and fun activities.

Though most guests reported that the issues they experienced were eventually resolved, many had trouble with their bill. The issues ranged from being charged multiple times on the same card, being charged on both cards after changing their payment method, or having a small monetary hold placed on their card. In the majority of the cases, the money was never actually withdrawn from their account, but temporarily appeared on their bank statement as a pending charge for a week or more.

Quite a few guests complained about the complimentary breakfast. They found the selection to be lacking and the food to be sun-standard quality.

While many guests experienced no issues, several said that their mattress was rather lumpy, to the extent that it interfered with their sleep.
