The Village Inn is a three-star bed and breakfast with two rooms situated in the village of Witchford, United Kingdom. Onsite pub shows Sky Sports on the screens and serves three real ales all the time. Rooms are equipped with colour television, tea/coffee making facilities, twin beds and they also have a cosy fireplace. Private bathrooms are just across the corridor and are provided with a power shower and heated towel rail. Wi-Fi and onsite parking are complimentary facilities. There is a wheelchair access and hand rail for the mobility impaired. Staff members help the visually impaired guests in reading and describing the food menu. There is an enclosed rear beer garden and benches to sit out in the front. All the three meals are served at the onsite pub. They can choose from a wide variety of delicacies. Ely Cathedral is a five minutes’ drive from the Village Inn.
Most of the guests liked the meal served in the pub. It was cooked well and presented even more beautifully. As per some guests, the food served here was one of the best pub meals that they had even eaten. It had a nice big fire and a very warm atmosphere. The portions served were very good and sumptuous.
Guests could take a number of recreational activities like archery, dart board, bowling and karaoke. Kids had a good time with bird watching and horse riding. Walking and taking a nature trail were also a top favourite among the guests. Some of the guests also had a gala time at the BBQ/picnic area.
The courteous and kind behavior of the staff members was much appreciated by the guests. As per few guests, the staff did not leave a single stone unturned in making sure that the guests had a comfortable stay. They were also very informative about the places that the guests should be seeing around.
Rooms were exceptionally cold and the heating was not working properly. This made it very difficult for the guests to sleep through the night.
There was a lot of noise coming from the loud music playing in the bar. It was very disturbing as the music was on till early morning making it a very disturbing affair for the guests.
Few guests were disappointed when they were called time and again to ask their time of return to the bed and breakfast. They felt that leaving a key for the back door with the guests coming in late would have been a better option.
