The lodge overlooks a lake and is surrounded by private grounds which provide a very scenic and peaceful backdrop. Guests enjoyed sitting on their balconies admiring the picture-postcard views as well as some of the local wildlife. The two swimming pools were described as being well-presented and of decent size. Guests who visited spa said that they thoroughly enjoyed their treatments which were carried out by knowledgeable and experienced therapists. The fitness center also proved popular with many and was described as being spacious with up-to-date equipment. .

The rooms have been described as stylishly decorated with quality upholstery and comfortable pieces of furniture. Guests said that the size of the rooms exceeded their expectations and appreciated having all the necessary mod cons as well as the cozy fire places. The bathrooms were also said to be modern with up-to-date fixtures and fittings.

Some of the guests said that they waited longer than expected in order to get served at breakfast and also mentioned that there was an obvious shortage of staff at breakfast time. .

Those whose rooms overlooked the pool area objected to being able to hear loud music which often lasted until late in the evening. Guests who were allocated suites close to the function rooms also said that they were disturbed by late-night noise. .
