Positive Reviews
positive:
Charming, romantic, and incredibly cozy rooms
StoneFort Inn rooms stay as true as possible to the building's historical charm, with lovely, vintage furnishings. There are reading nooks to inspire downtime, and an ambience to encourage relaxation, and getting away from daily routines. It's great for a romantic celebration!
positive:
Wonderful staff are part of the reason to return
The staff impresses with their kindness, generosity, attentiveness, and genuine happiness at making your stay a success. They're noted for their high level of customer service, and as another reason why you shouldn't make the inn a one-time stay.
positive:
Terrific food and drinks in a lovely atmosphere
Food and beverage menus shine through, with original recipes, fresh ingredients, and a fine attention to preparation and presentation. The complimentary breakfast stands out as being delicious and ample, especially at no charge.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Air conditioning may not always cool off room
Keep in mind that the inn's location is prone to high temperatures and strong humidity at times. The air conditioning may not always work to its fullest potential in cooling off the room, so you may want to bring a travel fan as backup or addition, if possible.
negative:
Squeaky beds and thin floorboards are disruptive
The hotel's old age is evident with floorboards that creak at the slightest weighted step, and also allow for noise to come throw. The walls are also quite thin. Another downside to the inn's character is the period furniture, which means squeaky bed frames and mattresses that may be too firm for some.
negative:
Parking location and fee aren't always appreciated
The parking location annoys those who want to be right at the hotel's door. The fee is another grievance, with the opinion being that the hotel shouldn't charge for something they should be including, as with the breakfast and Wi-Fi.
