Positive Reviews
positive:
Outstanding customer service.
You know a hotel is doing something right when guests frequently use words like 'excellent', 'impressive', and 'awesome' to describe the level of care and attention they have received from staff. Evidently, the customer services manager at The Coho Oceanfront Lodge is well and truly in line for a raise..
positive:
Views are just stunning.
Most of the studios afford a stunning full or partial view of the Cascade Head Marine Reserve and the Pacific Ocean beyond. The best way to really appreciate the view here though is to sit outside in the evening and keep warm by one of the hotel's firepits while you watch the sun go down and listen to the waves sloshing back and forth. Absolutely wonderful.
positive:
Great base for gamblers.
If you enjoy games of chance as much as you like memorable views then you'll be in your element here: the hotel runs a free shuttle bus service to the local casino every Friday, Saturday & Sunday evening!
Negative Reviews
negative:
Bathrooms are pretty small.
It has to be said that the en-suite bathrooms in some of the hotel's lower-priced units are more than a little bijou. Something to keep in mind if you're a large-framed individual..
negative:
On-site parking can be an issue.
Be aware if you're driving: the Coho's parking lot isn't the biggest you're ever going to come across. For sure, parking here can be a real pain at times, particularly if you have a large vehicle or arrive during a busy spell.
negative:
But that's about it..
If you can forgive them for their small bathrooms and limited parking then chances are you'll enjoy your stay here. Why? Well it's simple: The Coho Oceanfront Lodge is actually very good at delivering pleasant and generally very positive vacation experiences.
