Positive Reviews
positive:
A great choice if you're on a tight budget.
Rufford Arms is cheap and cheerful, providing everything you need for a comfortable stay while also keeping the room rate reasonable. If you just need somewhere to rest your head for the night this hotel ticks all the boxes.
positive:
Good value for money meals in the restaurant.
There aren't many other restaurants around the local area, but luckily the food served here is absolutely delicious so you don't have go anywhere else. The menu prices are very reasonable too, which means you can enjoy great food and value for money.
positive:
The staff here are friendly and professional.
From the receptionist to the waiting staff, everyone working here takes their job seriously and goes out of their way to help you. They are also happy to chat to you about things to do in the area.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Noise from the busy main road is disturbing.
This hotel is situated right beside a main road, which is good for easy access but terrible for noise pollution. The ground floor rooms are the worst, and the din from passing cars and trucks can be rather unpleasant.
negative:
Don't expect much from the free Wi-Fi here.
If you're planning on staying in your room and streaming a movie on your laptop then think again. The free Wi-Fi at this hotel is pretty dismal, with a poor speed and patchy signal.
negative:
No communal area or lounge for you to use.
The only places you can sit and relax at Rufford Arms is either in your room or in the dining area. There is no comfy guest lounge for kicking back and reading the paper or just chatting to other guests.
