positive:
Unique setting
The hotel enjoys a truly unique setting. Set directly into the mountainside, among the desert landscape, with hiking and jogging trails accessible directly from the hotel, guests love escaping to The Buttes. Views- especially from the Top of The Rock Restaurant are outstanding.
positive:
Facilities to meet most needs
The list of facilities at the hotel is vast; with tennis courts, volleyball courts, spa, fitness centre and two pools on-site. If you prefer to enjoy a more relaxed pace, there are several dining options, room service is also available and- for those who can't wait to get home for their coffee fix, a Starbucks.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Additional charges
Some previous guests have voiced concerns over the additional charges levied at the hotel. While it is hardly a budget option, guests are charged for self parking and also for Wi-Fi in their rooms (although it is free in the lobby).
negative:
Some noise disturbances
Light sleepers may wish to discuss room options with the team at the hotel prior to booking, as some spots within the hotel may be affected by noise. The baseball stadium is directly next door and the volleyball courts are often used late into the night too- both of which may cause disturbances at times.
negative:
Not ideal for the less-mobile
Those who have reduced mobility will want to consider staying at The Buttes carefully. There are stairs in several spots within the hotel, the pools may be hard to access for some, and elevators may not be relied upon.
