Positive Reviews
positive:
Stunningly beautiful location
On arrival, most guests are astonished by the beauty of the surroundings. The hotel overlooks both the town and the surrounding hills, and guests understand why Deia is regarded as one of the most beautiful towns in Spain. Also mentioned is that it's just a short walk into the village, where there are an almost embarrassing number of great dining options.
positive:
Fantastic pool for those long hot days
Of course it gets very hot in the summer, and when the mercury starts rising guests are relived to be able to take a quick dip in one of the two pools, while surrounded by incredible beauty.
positive:
Ample and tasty breakfast
Guests describe being very satisfied with the breakfast offered, saying it is more than ample, and really sets them up for the day ahead.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Cleaning issues in the apartments
There were very few negative reviews of D'Es Puig indeed. One issue that did come up just a couple of times was that the apartments in the separate building are perhaps not kept as clean as the main rooms. It may be that the cleaning schedule differs from that of the rooms.
negative:
Some parking issues arise
Deia is an extremely popular village, perhaps a bit like a village in the Cotswolds, so parking is very much at a premium. On busy days guests would be wise to simply walk the short way into town, rather than drive. A few comments were made about difficulty parking at the hotel itself, so motorists are recommended to clarify the parking situation beforehand.
negative:
Perhaps not suitable for young children
This is a very rare comment, and many families have enjoyed their time there, but some have suggested that the peaceful and quiet location wouldn't really be suitable for a family with boisterous children.
