Positive Reviews
positive:
Great position for beach and nightlife
The location of the hotel is far and away the most positive aspect of the hotel in guest's minds. They love that it is just steps to the beach, since most are in town for a well deserved beach break. Also mentioned was that the restaurant and bar strip was less than 10 minutes' walk away. Guests felt they could easily have a great holiday without having to rent a car or rely on expensive taxis.
positive:
Basic but filling breakfast
While guests didn't exactly rave about the continental breakfast, they did say that there was always enough food, and it at least seemed to keep them going until lunch.
positive:
Effective air conditioning
Perhaps unlike previous experiences at other hotels, guests were happy to report that the air conditioning units in their rooms were up to the task of dealing with the Spanish heat.
Negative Reviews
negative:
No pool on-site
This was mentioned several times, though guests disagreed on how much of a disadvantage it was. Some weren't bothered at all, while other thought it would have been great to be able to return to the hotel after a hot day on the beach and take a quick refreshing dip.
negative:
Back to the future
Interestingly, several guests mentioned that stepping into the hotel was like stepping back into the 80's. While some found this charming, others thought the décor was too dated and needed an update. No guests really felt that anything was decrepit, just dated
negative:
Staff have limited English language skills
Based on guests comments it seems that the staff at Tramontana have quite limited English language skills, and found it difficult to communicate with English speaking guests. It seems that guest will have an opportunity to practice their schoolboy/girl Spanish.
