    Richmond Hill is just to the east of Melbourne city centre, which makes it a great place for you to stay if you want to watch a sporting event, as many of the city's stadiums are nearby.

    The people working here are a cheerful bunch, offering a warm welcome when you arrive and helping you out with any queries you might have. You really can't fault the customer service here

    This hotel is situated in a nice leafy area of Melbourne that isn't quite caught up in the hustle and bustle of the CBD. When you come back here to rest that's exactly what you'll be able to do.

    This hotel is getting a bit worn out.

    This place is reaching a ripe old age and little is being done to keep up its appearance. Some essential maintenance is sorely needed, and if you're looking for a modern stylish hotel this certainly isn't it.

    Small rooms and shared bathrooms.

    If you decide to go for one of the economy rooms here you'll be treated to a box room and will have to share a similarly small bathroom with other guests. It really is worth paying the extra for a room with an ensuite bathroom.

    There is no lift here so be prepared for stairs.

    All the rooms at Richmond Hill are above the ground floor, so no matter which room you are in you'll have to take on some stairs as there is no lift here. Ask the staff to help you with your luggage if it will be a struggle to carry it by yourself.
