Surrounded by vineyards, castle Hornberg, an 11th century knight‘s castle and famous residence of Götz von Berlichingen, stands proudly high above the romantic valley of the river Neckar. Amidst the natural and unadulterated romance of castle Hornberg, today’s 4* Hotel-Restaurant Burg Hornberg was opened in 1953 with its distinctive charme. 31 lovingly and manifold furnished rooms in historical buildings can be discovered as well as our own restaurant with phenomenal view over the Neckar valley, which can also be enjoyed on our panoramic terrace. A grand under conservation standing chestnut tree decorates our courtyard, in which international and regional specialities can be relished. Three conference and two function rooms are the perfect place for meetings and festivities such as birthdays, family feasts and weddings. Castle Hornberg also has a family owned chapel in the woods just above the castle where weddings can be performed. The Hotel-Restaurant Burg Hornberg is the perfect place to start hiking in the nature as well as taking trips to the cities of Mosbach, Bad Wimpfen, Heilbronn, Heidelberg and Rothenburg, to castle Guttenberg with its flight show of vultures, eagles and owls or the Auto & Technik Museum Sinsheim, just to name a few possibilities in the region.
