Hotel Becket (South Lake Tahoe, USA)

Guests liked the bar's cozy atmosphere and found the staff to be efficient and friendly and the drinks to be of great quality. They also liked the and live music on the weekend as well as the board games available.

The front-desk staff made a great first impression on most guests, as they offered a welcoming smile and helpful advice on how to get around. Guests found that the staff was quite efficient and yet patient in answering their questions.

The hotel is centrally located within walking distance of the town and its many restaurants, shops and casinos. Guests also enjoyed the fact that the lake and the gondola were only a few minutes of walking away, which made for picturesque views and great outdoor opportunities.

Guests felt that the rooms were in need of a makeover, citing the old TVs, outdated and well-used furniture and inadequately soundproofed rooms.

Several guests noted having trouble after booking their rooms, as these had either been given away or were not the category selected. Others noted that they were overcharged during check-in or check-out despite having booked directly through the hotel, which for some took weeks of phone calls to get the issue straightened out.

While the rooms are generally cleaned well, some guests found housekeeping to be ineffective and slow. Some reported that their bathroom amenities were not full when checking in and not replenished unless requested.
