Restaurants are a stroll away, including Le New Haven, serving delectable seafood four minutes from the hotel. Or grab a pint at seaside bistro Tout Va Bien.
In addition to exploring the cliffs, ports and beach that Dieppe is famous for, several points of interest are easily accessible from Hotel Aguado. Visit the Castle Museum, or stop into a real castle at Castle Miromesnil. Another tourist favourite are the churches of Saint-Jacques and Saint Remi.
Positive Reviews
positive:
Location worth a return visit.
Guests loved this centrally located hotel, and were particularly happy with its proximity to the train station, old town, and an abundance of shops and restaurants just around the corner. An added bonus was the seaside location, with many rooms showcasing amazing sunsets and endless ocean vistas.
positive:
Pleasant staff.
Helpful, congenial, and friendly were just a few of the words used to describe bilingual hotel staff. Guests found that staff bent over backward to accommodate requests, and were an overall pleasure to deal with.
positive:
Nice breakfast.
For those that want to get up and be on their way, or who don't want to leave the premises, Aguado offers a buffet breakfast for a fee. Guests liked the convenience of being able to eat at the hotel, not to mention the smell of the freshly baked croissants!
Negative Reviews
negative:
Older plumbing.
Old-fashioned plumbing was problematic both in guest rooms, and when hearing other guests go about their day. Noisy toilets and showers were mentioned by a few guests, but most were willing to trade the charm of an older building for a few inconveniences.
negative:
Tired decor.
The majority of guests felt that guest room interiors were in line with the style and character of the building, but some noted a few instances where a refresh might be in order. Unsubstantiated reports suggest that a bathroom update may be on the horizon.
negative:
Limited parking.
Free parking was a big bonus for guests of Aguado, but only if you are lucky enough to get it. It seems there aren't enough spots for the size of the hotel, and certain times of the day might be better for securing parking than others. A pay parking option can be found nearby.
