Soho Mall, metro station and various places to shop and eat are within walking distance of the hotel. Plus, since it's located in the financial district, the hotel is rather quiet and out of the way, although taxis aren't horribly expensive for visiting other areas of Panama City.

Several guests mentioned that they enjoy the layout of the rooms, especially the hard wood floors. Others cited that the in-room features, like the air-conditioning, are rather quiet. Plus the modern décor rooms are also insulated rather well according to travelers.

Many visitors remarked that they really enjoyed the breakfast that's offered here for free. Not only is it tasty, there are also a multitude of food options to pick, which means there is something for everyone.

According to some travelers they really enjoyed this hotel’s located. They state it's central and safe. Other visitors, however, mentioned that the neighborhood seems to be a little bit rough and unnerving. So your impression of the neighborhood may depend on your expectations.

For some guests the lack of a restaurant or bar was perturbing. That means if you're looking for a hotel that offers dining throughout the day you'll want to look elsewhere.

While the rooms do offer a coffee maker, you won't find refrigerators and microwaves in the standard rooms. For several guests this was rather off-putting, particularly with people who stayed at other HIE hotels in the past where such amenities are standard. The majority of guests, however, weren't too impacted by the lack of kitchen appliances.
