The hotel grounds are fantastically well kept and provide the perfect place to take a load off after a busy day of visiting the local sights. Afternoon drinks in the garden are a joyous experience.

Not a lot to do in the area.
Although it is a very historical city, you’ll see most of it in a day or two, so there’s not much point in staying longer. Unless of course you just take advantage of the hotel gardens.

It’s not a big problem, but some may not be too happy about the rooms being so far from the reception. It’s a bit inconvenient to have to dress for the weather just to go and get breakfast in the main building.

Either it’s too warm or it’s too cold at this hotel and the staff aren’t what you would call heating experts. It takes a while to figure out the heating controls and even then they are temperamental at best. Not what you would expect from a four-star hote
