Positive Reviews
positive:
Charming historical ambiance
This seemed to be what guests most appreciated about the hotel. It is housed in a converted historical convent and guests said they much preferred staying in a building like this, one with character, than at a sleek and modern property. Even if there were a few small problems stemming form the fact that it was an old building, guests were more than willing to tolerate these to experience the charm and unique character.
positive:
Very good breakfast
Though there were contrary views expressed, the vast majority of guests really seemed to like the breakfast. The variety of foods offered was said to be adequate with an especially good array of hot foods available on order.
positive:
Remarkably quite
Perhaps because of its convent origins, the hotel is described as remarkably quiet for such a central hotel. While there was the very rare complaint about noise from within the building, there really weren't any complaints about street noise at all.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Reception closes early
A few guests arriving at night were disappointed to find that the hotel's reception was closed, with only a night watchman on duty. It was said that reception closes relatively early in the evening and that check-in wasn't possible after this.
negative:
No on-site parking
A few motorists were disappointed to find that the hotel has no on-site parking available. The nearest available parking garage was said to be a decent walk away, so guests felt that it was a bit inconvenient to use.
negative:
Some cleanliness issues
While not a universal sentiment, quite a large number of guests mentioned that their room was not cleaned to a reasonable standard when they moved in. They either had to ask for it to be re-cleaned or do some spot cleaning themselves to feel comfortable there.
