Positive Reviews
positive:
Hotel employees who care.
For the most part, guests were given friendly customer service that made for a memorable visit. Weary travelers were welcomed with friendly smiles, and after a long day on the road, this sometimes made all the difference in the world.
positive:
Lots to like about rooms.
Guests were generally very comfortable in their rooms. Good beds, great showers with strong water pressure and air-conditioning that deserved a gold medal in the sweltering heat made guests feel like they had received good value for their money.
positive:
Accessible hotel.
Courtyard Amarillo was easy to get to, and guests appreciated that they didn't have to contend with bustling downtown traffic. The large parking garage also added to a stress-free visit, and this hotel was a delight for guests who were passing through.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Cleanliness could be better.
While it seems that staff and management are trying to stay on top of cleanliness standards, guests said that it appeared to be a losing battle at times. Dust, dirt and debris were common concerns amongst guests who expected much more out of their visit.
negative:
Silence, please.
While nosy guests might secretly want to hear their neighbor's conversation, the majority of guests wished that walls were thicker. Double paned windows would have been a nice touch, too, with guests saying that sleep was sometimes elusive due to outside sounds.
negative:
Restaurant doesn't always do the job.
Guests weren't thrilled with the restaurant food options, and while other eateries are within walking distance, not being able to eat lunch here was a problem for tired guests who didn't want to leave the property.
