The staff at the hotel are pleasant and cheerful. They offer great advice on the area such as places to eat and visit.

The hotel is full of history. The location is decent. Of course, you have to visit Stonehenge while you are there but there are also plenty of cafés and restaurants. The hotel location is right in the centre of Amesbury.

The restaurant has a Thai cuisine and the meals are not disappointing. The food is served at a nice temperature with fantastic fresh ingredients. Morning breakfast is served with proper sausages. You can relax around the fireplace and enjoy a cocktail at the bar during the evening.

The facility needs some major updating. You can see that it was a beautiful building during its glory days that have surly passed. For example, the garden could be fantastic if it were pruned and tidied up. Chipped paint, dripping gutters, mould, rot, rusty shower doors, stained walls, and more makes the place look tacky. A pity that the facility is in such disarray. The hotel has certainly seen better days.

The hotel has plenty of events, which can make you feel overlooked as a visitor. The accommodations seem overpriced as well.

There needs to be workable Wi-Fi in the rooms. It's awful if it works at all. If you have a good data package with your mobile phone company, you may be in luck. Other than that, you can forget it.
