Positive Reviews
positive:
Leidseplein location, walk the rest.
If you are planning on spending a lot of time at Leidseplein, then Leidsegracht will be perfect for you, while it was also found to be within walking distance of plenty of museums, restaurants, canals and parks, and well placed for trams and a direct bus to the airport.
positive:
Very lovely service.
Guests considered the staff to be very friendly and helpful, and the lady most often working there was singled out for offering lovely service on the front desk.
positive:
Great value for money, well-equipped.
The rooms here are definitely good value for Amsterdam, and although they are basic, guests found them to be clean, have comfy beds, a decent shower and even a small fridge.
Negative Reviews
negative:
No elevator, room small, a little loud, but cheap.
Although there were a few issues guests experienced while staying at Leidsegracht, the cheap prices trumped these all round. Nevertheless, there is a steep stairway with no lift, but staff can help to carry your luggage; a little noise from trams and partiers is possible, so take some earplugs just in case; and the rooms were found to be a bit small, but that is normal in Amsterdam and guests thought they got what they paid for, and more.
