About The Darnley Hotel

The Darnley Hotel was built in 1921 for a Doctor, there are many original features remaining in the house, including the lovely architrave around the light fitting in the sitting room. Each room in The Darnley Hotel is different with each having its own features. The Twin room has the lovely fireplace, whilst the four poster over looks the garden and has it's own dressing area. Our superior double room is full of character overlooking the old Manor house. We have a rolling programme of updates and investments. The objective of which is to retain the original features throughout the Hotel and provide guests with all the modern conveniences and comforts expected. The Restaurant is available providing booking is made in advance. The Bar is well stocked with most spirits, and serves Worthingtons and Carling on draught. Ilfracombe has many attractions, the Museum and Aquarium are within walking distance. Damien Hirst's Verity is a must. There are loads of bars and eateries along the harbour front. If the weather is good a boat trip to Lundy and the wildlife would fill a day.
