Positive Reviews
positive:
Food at Roslin Hotel is excellent.
If you are a bit of a foodie and like to eat well then the Roslin Hotel should more than meet your expectations. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in a lounge overlooking the estuary and all come highly recommended - the AA Rosette awarded to the Roslin is confirmation of the high standards of food served. The hotel makes a point of sourcing local produce and its location next to the Thames Estuary means it has access to fresh shellfish and seafood. It also sources free range meat from its own farm in Hampshire.
positive:
A great location on the seafront.
The Roslin’s location next to the seafront is perfect if you want to take walks along the promenade or a dip in the water. The main seafront attractions including Southend Pier and Cliffs Pavilion are a stroll along the seafront. Southend has a mainline station to London and if you have time take a trip to old Leigh-on-Sea to experience its traditional pubs and cockle and whelk stalls.
positive:
Comfortable rooms with a sea view.
The rooms are highly praised by guests who find the beds very comfortable and the décor and views over the estuary pleasing to the eye.
