Guests reported that the area around the hotel is very peaceful and scenic with very nice views. The property is right on the Spokane River and the town of Post Falls is only a half hour away.

There is so much to do around this hotel for guests of all ages. Guests can rent bicycles, jet skis and other equipment for free, the pool is warm and clean, the public spaces are tidy and spacious, the fitness room has modern equipment and there is evening entertainment. A nice walking trail is also located nearby.

There are some issues with the guest rooms at Red Lion Templin's on the River including dirty floors, broken appliances, paint peeling off walls, mold in the bathrooms and a smell of stale cigarette smoke. Guests also reported uncomfortable beds, Wi-Fi that hardy even works, stained furniture and balconies so small that they barely hold two people. .
