The hotel provides really affordable rates and delivers on rooms that are functional and comfortable. The bathrooms are large and modern and the venue is very quiet. The free Wi-Fi and parking add to the value.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. They will help to arrange taxis and often provide free refreshments. Management is efficient and organised.

The hotel provides a nice venue for weddings or other meetings. Food, either full teas or hot buffets, can be arranged and extra staff provided. The management is adept at arranging for large parties and even dedicates common areas to the events, if necessary. There is also a large parking area.

The hotel has started to slip in recent months and desperately needs an investment of money and care. The property is quite rundown and many of the amenities closed. The onsite gym is not open for use and there is a drained pool onsite, with brown sludge greeting guests.

This can't be called anything but a very basic stay. The pictures on the website don't match reality, so don't expect lush bedding and gorgeous decor. There is no lift to the upper floors and all the rooms and areas look worn, with stains, tears, and rips.

Apparently, the food service and bar service runs on its own hours, unknown to guests. Breakfast isn't open early, but don't wait too late because it will be closed. Sometimes, the restaurant is only open on the weekends and sometimes both the bar and restaurant are closed to guests so that booked events can use the space.
