Situated conveniently close to Europa Business Park, and to the east of Cork, Midleton Park is a modern business-minded hotel which also has extensive fitness and leisure facilities. The rooms are elegantly furnished and have a very sophisticated atmosphere. Each features en-suite bathroom, TV, tea/coffee station, hairdryer and telephone. The extensive on-site health club offers heated indoor pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and comprehensive gym. Midleton Park Hotel has meeting and conference space for any size gathering and Wi-Fi is available throughout. There are a number of dining options on-site, including the Maltings Restaurant, where chefs use fresh local ingredients to create culinary masterpieces. The lobby bar is the perfect place for a drink, or even tea and scones. Business people will find the Europa Business Park just 700 yards from Midleton Park Hotel, while the centre of Cork is 14 miles to the west.
It was the leisure centre that guests most appreciated about Midleton Park - by far. It was described as a very comprehensive centre and, while open to local members as well, hotel guests were allowed to use it freely. Guests really seemed to feel that it had all the exercise facilities that needed during their stay.
Midleton is not a big town, and Midleton Park is well situated in it. As a result guests found that all the amenities they were looking for could be found within easy walking distance, including a couple of restaurants and pubs.
Again and again guests praised the breakfast. The full cooked options were available, of course, but guests say that there was much more besides. It was also well presented and seemed to be perfectly adequate to see them through to lunch.
Unusually, a couple of guests commented on how well soundproofed the rooms seemed. They report that they didn't really hear any noise from the busy street outside, or adjacent rooms.
As of late March to early April 2016 guests noted that the hotel was undergoing extensive renovations. The time frame for the project is unknown, but it was said that work starts early in the morning, possibly waking up the guests…and the neighbours.
…do not make a double bed. At least not in the minds of any of the guests who mentioned they experienced this. They found the two singles most inconvenient, and wondered why their request for a double, made long in advance, could not have been honoured.
