Positive Reviews
positive:
Very convenient location
There is something for virtually everyone in close vicinity
of the hotel, be it historical and cultural sites, nightlife, shopping for
brands and souvenirs alike and dining. The Vienna is just on the edge of downtown
Athens which means commercial hotspots and public transport links to get you to
the rest of the city.
positive:
Value for money
Considering you get a clean, comfortable room, good service
and Wi-Fi as well as being in such a good location, the rates for this hotel
are quite a steal compared to others in Athens and even in the same general
area.
positive:
Top friendly and helpful staff
The hotel staff are praised repeatedly for their warm
service and friendly demeanor, for example at times giving pointers for places
to visit and explore in the area and the rest of Athens.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Area can be noisy and seedy at night
Being quite centrally located, those in rooms facing out
onto main streets may experience some noise at night, however this is usually
not a major problem with the windows/balcony door closed. Also in the evenings,
previous guests have found it best to exercise caution or perhaps not walk
alone to and from the hotel when it gets dark.
negative:
No meals and breakfast charged extra
The only food available at Vienna Hotel is the continental breakfast daily which although it is fresh and of good quality, some feel it lacks variety. Furthermore, there is no restaurant on site so guests do have to eat out or buy a few things to keep in the in-room minibar.
negative:
Bathrooms quite small
The ensuite bathrooms are tight on space and may be difficult
to manoeuvre for taller people. There is also no hairdryer, which some guests
would prefer.
