Fabulous setting made for golfers.
Everywhere you look at Tamisa Golf, you're met with awe-inspiring views that will have you lingering over your glass of bubbly on the sun terrace. Golfers rate the courses highly, and the whole experience seems elevated by the setting.
positive:
Great breakfast included in the price.
Guests praise the restaurant in general, but the breakfast, included in the price, helps to provide great value for money, with a good selection. Foodies will want to stay for lunch and dinner too, with their carefully thought-out menus.
positive:
Relaxed atmosphere aided by the staff.
Guests seem to be pretty blissed-out after a stay at Tamisa Golf - and a large part of that is down to the staff. They're described as endlessly helpful and friendly in their attitude, from the front desk to the spa and restaurant.
Negative Reviews
negative:
The hotel is starting to show its age.
The hotel still has an aura of glamour about it, but in some respects, it's starting to show its age, and the furnishings are quickly becoming outdated. A bit of a restyle could to wonders to restore it to its full glory.
negative:
Not a lot on offer for families.
This really is a golfers' hotel - miles out in the countryside, with no facilities for children. For those after a peaceful golfing break, it's paradise, but for families, it's unlikely to be suitable, especially given the distance from everything.
negative:
No tea/coffee in the rooms.
It's a common bugbear - why, in otherwise splendid hotels, do they not provide the facilities to make tea and coffee? Still, forewarned is forearmed, so pack a travel kettle and a few teabags, and enjoy the rest of it.
