It's the place to be at sunrise
The resort couldn't be any closer to the water, and guests were thrilled to watch the spectacular sunrises over the ocean each morning, a spectacle which many could view from the comfort of their private lanai. The resort also offers daily sunrise services with hula dancers and drums.
positive:
Fun filled evenings
Courtyard Kaua'i at Coconut Beach provides a variety of entertainment and other perks included in the resort fee, including a free Mai Tai each day, a poolside fire pit in the evenings, and shows with traditional Hawaiian dancers. For many guests, the highlight of their day was enjoying that free Mai Tai in the evening while chatting with other travelers by the fire pit and taking in a show. This was an especially relaxing activity after a day spent on beach excursions.
positive:
Their customer service is top notch
Guests were thrilled with the service they received from the hotel's employees. Nearly everyone they encountered was friendly and personable, and they were happy to accommodate special requests whenever possible.
Negative Reviews
negative:
The rooms are a little too dark
Many guests lamented the lack of natural lighting in the guest rooms. Though the rooms have many windows, they are obscured by dark wood shutters.
negative:
Swimming can be dangerous
Several different guests were disappointed to find the beaches closed off due to strong currents during their stay. The hotel management responded by claiming this is common for most of Hawaii, and that's why they recommend only swimming at beaches with a lifeguard on duty, something Courtyard Kaua'i at Coconut Beach lacks for.
negative:
The bathrooms are rather small
There were many complaints in guest reviews about the size of the bathrooms. Most people found them to be uncomfortably cramped, and would have preferred a little more room to maneuver.
