Positive Reviews
positive:
Friendly, professional staff.
Most guests give the front desk staff high marks for their pleasant and professional customer service, noting that they are happy to provide directions, accommodate special requests, and see that any maintenance issues are quickly resolved.
positive:
Clean, comfortable rooms.
Most guests find the rooms to be sparkling clean, with comfortable furnishings and plenty of space. Guests with rooms toward the rear of the hotel, furthest from the traffic, generally report a quiet night, and a sound night's rest in the cosy beds. Several guests were pleased by large walk-in showers with overhead showers as well as wall-mounted jets.
positive:
The most important meal of the day...
The breakfast buffet has received many positive reviews for its variety of hot and cold options, including eggs cooked to order. Despite stiff competition from the many dining options across the street at The Galleria, the dinner menu has also received positive reviews. Other guests report a relaxing evening watching the game on a big screen in the bar area, and describe the atmosphere as generally described as "friendly" and "inviting."
Negative Reviews
negative:
Rooms in need of TLC.
Few guests are charmed by the hotel's exterior, and so they are often pleasantly surprised to find the interior reasonably modern, welcoming, and well kept, if also little dated and time-worn. The most frequently reported issues are faded decor, walls in need of repainting, and worn carpets, in both the rooms and hallways.
negative:
There is no lift.
The Ramada Hatfield only has two floors, but it does not have an elevator. Guests with mobility concerns are encouraged to specify a ground floor room in the booking process.
negative:
Hot and bothered...
A few guests found the lack of air-conditioning interfered with their night's sleep, while others were bothered by noisy neighbours and banging doors.
