Positive Reviews
positive:
Excellent central location
Guests described the location of the hotel as being very near Taksim Square. This is possibly the city’s busiest and most famous square, so guests really felt like they were in the heart of the city. It seems that many guests were in town to experience the city’s nightlife, and reported that this hotel was near some of the best bars and clubs to be found in Istanbul.
positive:
Very friendly and approachable staff
Too many guests to mention listed individual staff members at the hotel by name, who they said really went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that they had a great stay.
positive:
Immaculately clean throughout
It was pretty much impossible to find any sort of criticism when it came to cleanliness in the hotel. Guests found both their rooms and the public areas to be kept spotlessly clean at all times
Negative Reviews
negative:
Lots of noise from outside
While guests were generally not disturbed by noise from the hallways or adjacent rooms, the same couldn’t be said about noise from the streets below. The area’s reputation as a nightlife hotspot meant that there was often noise generated by revellers spilling out from the bars and clubs nearby. Those who were trying to get some sleep, rather than themselves spilling out of the bars, were often interrupted by the noise.
negative:
Poor breakfast
It was hard to find many good words written about the breakfast. It was said to be poor and not really worth having at the hotel, what with so many other great dining options in the area.
negative:
Area not family friendly
A number of guests mentioned that, because some of the bars and clubs nearby were a bit seedy, they would not recommend the hotel to those with families in tow.
