Locanda Novo definitely has old world charm to it. From stain glassed windows to chandeliers the atmosphere is like stepping back in time. Many guests found their stay pleasant and appreciated the fact that it wasn’t a bed and breakfast boasting the latest and greatest of the modern world.
Aside the hotel’s charm the guests loved that the bed and breakfast is situated on a quiet street but still near the busy Strada Nuova. Locanda Novo is within walking distance to many major sites in Venice and is near many restaurants and shops for entertainment.
Those who’ve stayed at this quaint B&B have really enjoyed the service received from the staff. There is always someone to help and the reception greets guests with a friendly smile and offers to help with luggage. Even though there is a language barrier with some employees it was never a problem.
The rooms at Locanda Novo weren’t quite what some were expecting. There are only a few rooms in this tiny location and the rooms are fairly small. Those looking for extravagant amenities and large, spacious accommodation should probably steer clear of this bed and breakfast.
While the location is beautiful and the décor is charming some guests found the place could’ve done with some updating. With a little renovation Locanda could be good as new.
