Excellent owners and staff
Again and again guests mentioned how great the owners and staff were. It seems to be a family-run hotel, and guests said that it is certainly run very well, with staff at all levels trying their very best to make sure that they had all they needed to ensure a great holiday.
positive:
Terrific view over Lake Garda
The hotel is situated right on the shore, at the foot of Mount Baldo. Guests mentioned that the views across the lake, to the villages on the opposite shore, were exceptionally lovely, and that they felt privileged to be able to experience them.
positive:
Delightful private beach
Several guests highlighted the hotel's private beach, right across the road, as their favourite feature of the hotel. There were sun loungers there they could use to catch a few afternoon rays, and if that got a bit much there was always the lake right there for them to cool off in.
Negative Reviews
negative:
A bit too remote for some
While not brought up often, it was pointed out that the hotel wasn't really near any large settlements. Some felt just a little isolated, saying for instance that there really weren't any other restaurants in walking distance.
negative:
Rooms are quite small
Several guests pointed out that the rooms were quite small. Some ascribed this to the fact that it was an older property, but most did not seem to find the size a major inconvenience.
negative:
Poor internal soundproofing
It was mentioned that it didn't seem there was any internal soundproofing to speak of, with guests saying they could hear noise from both the hallways and adjacent rooms.
