Positive Reviews
positive:
Pebble beach just there, bus to old town.
Guests found Komodor to be well-located due to the nice little shingle beach a few minutes away, the relaxed feel away from the tourist masses, and the easy bus ride down to Dubrovnik Old Town. The Lapad location also means there is room for free parking.
positive:
Lovely character, balconies, pool, terrace.
The stone building was found to have a lovely old character to it, the pool and sundeck with plenty of loungers were well-appreciated, and many of the clean and functional rooms come with their own balconies.
positive:
Excellent service from staff.
Those who stayed found the staff members to be passionate about their jobs and hotel, overall, very attentive helpful and friendly, and said they put on a decent breakfast buffet with a wide range for all tastes, as well as a reasonable restaurant offering.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Rooms simple, some dark with no view.
Overall, the rooms are relatively simple, and a few guests found certain rooms to be dark and without views, but as a few people put it, you do not come to Dubrovnik to stay put inside, so chances are you will be too busy out exploring to pay much notice.
negative:
A bit dated and in need of facelift.
Some of those who stayed at Komodor considered the bedrooms and bathrooms to be dated and in need of a facelift, but were otherwise very clean and in good working order.
negative:
Wi-Fi not good apart from reception, no fridge.
The Wi-Fi was considered to be intermittent by some guests, who said it only seems to work properly in reception, while a few others were disappointed to find there were no room fridges.
