Staff are very friendly, diligent and efficient and it's fair to say that they create a smoke screen for a number of the deficiencies here. They'll assist with all queries, including those relating to e-tickets.

Rooms are comfortable, clean and reasonably priced; so all the basics are covered.

It's a perfect location for a number of activities and business meetings so, quite often, transport isn't required. For theatergoers, the Alabama Shakespeare Festival Theater is an easy walk away.

The suites are very basic, particularly for the price charged. A miserly one bar of soap and towels totaling just two, don't 'cut the mustard'. Plus, there are rumors of breakfast being offered, but no sign of it actually materializing. The 'eagle eyed' guest will note the housekeeping trolley in the corridor and if unmanned, the only way to replace room shortages is to, frankly, pinch them from the trolley. This adds a sense of excitement to the visit!

It's gone downhill. Security doors, from previous visits, no longer exist - so that's a worry. Rooms smell stale and they are none too clean, with a mis match of old furniture cobbled together to create someone's interpretation of furnished accommodation.

There's lots of non residents hanging around the pool area, so that's the cause of some unease. Smokers congregate close to the main entrance, creating a not very pleasant first impression ... and a mini smog!
