Positive Reviews
positive:
Very close to Ciampino Airport
A surprising number of guests mention the proximity to Rome's secondary airport, Ciampino, as a major positive. The hotel lays on a free shuttle that really seems to be appreciated by guests using the hotel for an airport layover.
positive:
Shuttle to the airport and train station
The hotel puts on a free shuttle to the airport, and more importantly, to the nearest train station. To some guests this makes up for the hotel's remote location, and they are not bothered by the long ride into Rome.
positive:
The lovely pool terrace
To guests travelling in summer, this is perhaps their favourite feature of the hotel. They seem to have enjoyed being able to take a quick refreshing dip after a long and hot day touring the sites in the city, and accepted that finding a central hotel with this sort of pool terrace would have been very hard indeed.
Negative Reviews
negative:
In a bit of a desolate area
Many guests describe the area the hotel is situated as “industrial”, saying there really is nothing nearby that would interest tourists, or even most business people - no cafes, shops and so on. To really get anywhere one would have to use the hotels shuttle and then take the train to somewhere else.
negative:
Too close to the highway
While many motorists loved being so close to the highway off-ramp, others were less impressed with the location, saying that the roar of cars on the orbital motorway continued throughout the night, and was loud enough to disturb their sleep.
negative:
Rooms a little dated
While not a major complaint, quite a few guest did point out that the room décor was a bit dated. There were no real functional problems with the rooms, it was more an issue of aesthetics.
