Positive Reviews
positive:
Thumbs up for rooms.
The rooms at Carina were everything that guests wanted and more. They were found to be tastefully decorated, meticulously clean, with a comfortable bed. Balconies provided breathtaking sunset views, and guests loved the large bathrooms. What more could you ask for?
positive:
Friendly staff.
While some guests wished that staff spoke better English, they were able to overlook this due to the undeniably warm customer service that was standard throughout the hotel. Guests were particularly impressed with restaurant servers and bar staff, who kept the drinks coming and the conversation flowing.
positive:
Away from the hustle and bustle.
Guests liked that this hotel was removed from the tourist traffic of Kusadasi, but still an easy walk to the action. Shops, restaurants, and nightlife were very accessible, and guests could hop on the bus at the stop in front of the hotel. Popular beaches were also close by, like Ladies Beach, about 15 minutes away.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Be ready to walk.
Perched high on a hill, Carina afforded guests spectacular views, but also made it necessary to make the steep climb to rooms. Guests with small children or strollers were sometimes inconvenienced, as were guests with mobility issues. If an elevator is critical to a pleasant stay, you might want to look elsewhere.
negative:
Stingy on the water.
Some guests reported that bottled water was missing from their rooms. They were advised not to drink the hotel tap water, but water was sometimes initially absent or not restocked. Guests also complained that personal water allowed near the pool.
negative:
Minor grievances.
Guests found a few things that needed improvement during an otherwise pleasant stay. A weak Wi-Fi signal and limited hotel parking would have made guests' visit go from good to great.
