Positive Reviews
positive:
Fantastic hotel restaurant serving fresh seafood.
The Jetty restaurant has a number of outdoor waterside terraces, and sources all of its fresh seafood from local fishermen. It’s open from early until late, with a huge selection of different dishes and refreshments. They even serve a traditional English afternoon tea here.
positive:
Spa facilities leave you feeling pampered.
This hotel prides itself on its spa, and so it should. With an indoor heated swimming pool, sauna, steam room and hydrotherapy pool it has everything you need to unwind, and that’s before you get started on the massages and treatments.
positive:
A stunning location with picture perfect views.
Situated on the banks of Salcombe Harbour and overlooking the estuary, this hotel offers amazing views over the water and the surrounding countryside. Many of the rooms have a view of the water, and everything Salcombe has to offer is on your doorstep.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Housekeeping is a bit all over the place.
You might find cleaners knocking on your door at inconvenient times, and even when they do come in to clean your room the standard may not be up to your liking.
negative:
The constant piped music can be irritating.
When you are sitting in the restaurant and bar you’ll notice the elevator-style music playing, and if you sit there long enough you’ll realise it never stops, which can end up being pretty annoying.
negative:
Service at your morning meal is non-existent.
The cold breakfast buffet is a bit disorganised and the popular items seem to run out quite quickly. If you want hot food you may end up waiting quite some time just to place an order, let alone actually receive your meal.
