Guests travelling by car must park next to the pavement in front of the inn. Despite advertising free Wi-Fi in rooms, most guests note that there is very limited signal which can be very frustrating.

The Volunteer Inn is traditionally built around the pub which is the heart of the property. The pub can get quite noisy at night, something guests need to take in to account. If noise is a particular problem it is advisable to book well-away from the pub area.
