The Tides Inn-Laguna Beach is perfectly situated for a true beach experience. You can walk right out to Laguna, and be on the boardwalk and at attractions within minutes. It's not far to get to other beaches, and adjoining sites of interest, such as sports' venues, market towns, and local shopping.
Rooms are comfortable, and provide a nice beachside atmosphere. The rest of the hotel is just as welcoming, with a clean pool and the perk of a barbecue grilling area. Guests also appreciate the outdoor fireplace to unwind at in the evening.
Although decent, the rooms are outdated, and in need of some attention. Walls need new paint, and the fixtures should be replaced. Requests may have to be made for better or more dusting.
With its proximity to the highway, you will hear street noise if the windows are open. In addition, peaceful rest and relaxation may be affected by loud air conditioners, and hearing other guests through the thin walls and floors. Don't forget to take advantage of the provided ear plugs!
