Set within a historic manor house and surrounded by gardens and woodlands, the Hundalee House is a traditional bed and breakfast that is located in Jedburgh. The accommodation combines charming Victorian style with modern amenities. Every room at the Hundalee House includes an en-suite bathroom. The rooms at the accommodation are also centrally heated and come equipped with a television, hairdryer, dressing gowns and tea/coffee making facilities. Free Wi-Fi is supplied throughout the accommodation. Private on-site parking is also provided at no additional cost. A comprehensive selection of items is served in the mornings for the complimentary breakfast, including home-grown eggs and honey. Cereals, fresh fruit, bacon, sausages, hash browns, toast and many other food choices are also available. Jedburgh Abbey and the Jedburgh Castle Jail and Museum can both be reached in five minutes by car from the accommodation.
With a deep history that has been retained throughout, virtually all previous guests loved the traditional feel of the Hundalee House. As well as the property itself being reportedly stylish and immaculately well-maintained, the surrounding grounds were also well received for their beauty and tranquillity.
The owners of the accommodation were recipients of rave reviews from a lot of former visitors. The general consensus is that the hosts are tremendously welcoming, friendly and considerate.
Many past guests were thrilled with the breakfast served up each morning by the Hundalee House. With plenty of items to choose from, the breakfast was often considered fulfilling, fresh and cooked to a great standard.
If your trip is primarily based around the town centre of Jedburgh, the Hundalee House is not the most ideally placed accommodation choice - an opinion backed up by the sentiment of those that have previously stayed at the accommodation.
The Wi-Fi, according to a notable amount of former guests, is one of the few negative aspects about staying at the accommodation. It has been stated that the Wi-Fi's range is not the strongest, and that it can be difficult to pick up a connection in the rooms of the property.
Whilst there have been some minor problems brought up such as creaky floorboards and the beds being too soft on occasion, these did not tend to be too troublesome for those that stayed at the accommodation. In fact, the vast majority of past visitors had a fantastic time at the Hundalee House, and would fully recommend it as a place to stay.
